Cui Xiuwen Cindy Sherman Frida Khalo

All of these artists try to portray women for their natural beauty. Sherman takes her stills in everyday settings while Cui Xiuwen's stills are all photoshopped in a "fantasy" setting. Frida Khalo's self portraits are all about true self and beauty. We can all see she was not the best lookin woman, but she was not afraid to show herself off.

Project Uno

This is my image for Project 1. For now i was only able to delete the papers out of the black garbage and i also gave the picture a slight blue tint to it. I am not sure exactly where i am going to go with it, but i am going to experiment with it.

Film Still Views

Gregory Crewdson

I believe that Crewdson's work is a little bit disturbing. He uses a lot of nude subjects in his works. These subjects also have creepy looks on their faces. Most of his works consists of dark and eerie. That makes me a little uncomfortable when i look at them.


Tuen Hocks
I liked Hocks' stills because of how he used himself in the works. In one of his works he was laying in a box that was in the shape of the building behind him. I thought that this idea was very interesting and humorous.


Jeff Wall
Jeff Walls stills are of everyday people. It some cases it looks like the person in the picture was not expecting to have their picture taken. There is usually some kind of motion to focus on in the stills. I do find his still intriguing because it looks like normal people can take them.


Cindy Sherman
Cindy Sherman's film still are very vintage looking. They do not have any color, which makes me kind of not interested. Her stills dont really catch my eye because of the old fashioned style. I have more of a "love" for new colorful designs and artworks.

My Insp1rati0n

A lot of simple things in life inspire me. I am a very simple guy that does not think to deep into things. This picture inspires me not just because of the statement but also due to how it looks. The way the colors look very realistic and look like they belong there inspire me to create works such as this. Pictures that either look astounding or have meaning, but are also kept clean and simple are the types of pictures that catch my eye.
